We are seeking a responsible single tenant or young couple to rent the upstairs portion of our home. The lease agreement is for 6 months, followed by a month-to-month term.
Rent includes all utilities except internet. All major appliances, including a washer and dryer, are provided. Tenant is responsible for their own internet service and renters’ insurance.
A family member with cerebral palsy resides independently in the private basement unit. As part of the rental agreement, the tenant will check in once daily to ensure he is safe and comfortable (for example, confirming he has eaten, done his weekly laundry, or doesn’t need assistance). If any concerns arise, the tenant should contact the landlord or family immediately.
The family handles all caregiving and support needs; the tenant’s responsibility is limited to a brief daily wellness check and communication.
