City of Lonoke Dog Ownership Requirements (Summary) These requirements are imposed and enforced by the City of Lonoke and are not a property or landlord policy. Under City of Lonoke Animal Control Ordinance No. 802, all dogs and cats over four (4) months of age must be licensed annually with the City of Lonoke and have a current rabies vaccination. Dogs must be kept under control at all times and may not run at large. Pet owners are responsible for all applicable city fees, which may include a city tag ($10 annually), vaccination fees ($10), microchipping ($25), adoption or reclaim fees ($25), daily pound fees if impounded ($10 per day), and administrative fees ($10). Dogs that bite, act aggressively, or are classified as potentially dangerous require a special permit ($50 annually) and additional restrictions.
