Security Deposit & Required Protection:
The reduced security deposit described below is a benefit associated with enrollment in the required protection program and does not waive or eliminate security-deposit requirements under New Jersey law.
All approved residents are required to enroll in the Landlord Protection program at a rate of $50 per month as a condition of tenancy.
Enrollment in this program allows residents to qualify for a reduced security deposit of $500, in lieu of a higher standard security deposit.
Voucher or assisted residents may be excluded from the Landlord Protection program due to third-party insurance eligibility requirements. When enrollment is not permitted by the program provider, the standard security deposit will apply, in accordance with New Jersey law and applicable program rules.
