Hello all!
We are looking for a new roommate for our North Boulder home! There will be perks for moving in early: the previous tenant paid rent through April 15th (the start of the next rent cycle). Therefore, moving in before April 15th means that there will be no payment required for rent until that date, when your rent would begin.
We are looking for a responsible, communicative person of any gender who appreciates affordable rent in Boulder to join our 5-person household. We prefer someone who is looking for long-term housing.
The house is a 5-bedroom, two-bath ranch house with a basement in North Boulder, Palo Park Neighborhood. The house is close to both 28th St/Hwy 36 and Foothills Parkway, which makes it a convenient location with quick access to all areas of town.
This household operates on a month-to-month rental basis, and the house has maintained a good relationship with the landlord for 6+ years. There is also a Roommate Agreement to establish some policies around rent, notice of moving out, house norms, and general expectations.
5 housemates (you would be the 5th) share this house. We do our best to keep common areas clean, especially the kitchen, and we have a rotating chore chart. We strive to maintain a good kitchen flow by cleaning up after ourselves, so that the kitchen is clean and ready for the next person to use, with surfaces, sinks and appliances clean and clutter-free.
Roommates are expected to be able to communicate actively and self-advocate in a responsible and respectful manner, so bonus points for conflict resolution and Non-Violent Communication. Prefer no smoking indoors nor evidence of smoking in the form of paraphernalia left lying around or odors.

About the house:
Upstairs: A main living room – currently a lounge space. Dining room, kitchen and a sun room/shared office space. 3 bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs.
Basement: 2 bedrooms, a lounge area with a crafting/art table, a wet bar, extra fridge, and a bathroom with a shower. The lounge area leads into a living room area – currently set up as a movie room with projector. The 2nd bedroom has the laundry room attached to it, and we coordinate with the resident of this room to do laundry [generally, there is access to the laundry room outside of the resident’s sleeping hours].
Yard: There is a large backyard, with a deck attached to the sun room, a fire pit, and some garden beds (points for avid gardeners).
Garage: Storage space for your bikes/skis/etc. Parking in the 2-car driveway and on the street.

About us:
There are currently 4 of us, all in our 20s, 1 female and 3 males, all on career trajectories in STEM, sociable but not rowdy, cooperating on household responsibilities and maintaining respect for quiet hours 10pm-7am. LGBTQ+ friendly. Two of us work from home occasionally. One hypo-allergenic cat lives here; unfortunately, another furry could trigger allergies.
